Maui Mountain Cruisers

Today's ride with Mountain Riders was a little bit different. It was one of those days where plans turn to spontaneity. We had traveled up to the top of the mountain to capture another time lapse video of the sunrise. The weather was not very cooperative and the time lapse didn't seem to be going very well while we were making it, it was wet and I kept having to wipe dew off of the camera and eventually gave up before the sun was clearly visible above the clouds. Then right as we were getting ready to leave the clouds suddenly parted leaving a magnificent view of the new days sun for everyone to see. Check out the video we got of it!

Cruiser Phil's Bikes

Today me and my Dad traveled up to the top of Haleakala with Cruiser Phil's bike rides to see the sunrise over the crater and then ride bikes back down. The sunrise was amazing (as you can see in the movie below!) If you have any questions about our trip please leave it as a comment on this post.

Flyin Hawaiian Zipline

Flyin Hawaiian Ziplines is the most recent zipline course to be added to our inventory. It just so happens to be the longest one in the whole state at over three thousand feet long! There were seven ziplines total and the maximum speed was over 65 mph.

Here is one of my favorite parts of this trip, the longest line!

Pacific Whale Foundation - Wild Dolphin & Snorkel

The next trip that we did was the Lanai wild dolphin and snorkel with the Pacific Whale Foundation. This trip leaves from Lahaina to go over and explore the waters off of the island of Lanai. Most of the time dolphins are spotted, as you can see in the video below, we saw plenty!

Bike It Maui

Me and my Dad went on the sunrise trip with Bike It Maui. This was a smaller company that had very personable guides. It was a rough wake up to make it to the 2:30AM pick up that took us up to the top of the mountain to see the sunrise. Luckily when we arrived at the summit the clouds were low enough to get a good view of the sunrise. My apologies for the shaky camera, I forgot my tripod and it was cold!

Skyline Eco Adventure Zipline, Haleakala

The Skyline Eco Adventures Haleakala course was the original zipline course on Maui. It has the single point harnesses that allow rotation and it has the only zipline on the island that is designed to go both forward and backwards. Here is a video that we made with a combination of camera angles, one being mounted on my Dad (Tom Barefoot)
