Turtle Town Snorkel, South Pacific Kayaks

Today we went out with South Pacific Kayaks on their 3 Hour Turtle Town Kayak Snorkel. We enjoyed a leisurely cruise out to our snorkel spot which took a little less then half an hour. We actually didn't go to the snorkel spot we were initially going to because we encountered a group of turtles that were surfacing near us. The water was so clear that we could see them swimming all around us and the group figured that it would be an opportune time to go for a snorkel. The guide told us where some interesting were as we geared up and got in the water. We saw the turtles, large schools of fish and some really interesting caves and coral formations on this first snorkel spot as well as on our second.

Molokini SCUBA Dive, Lahaina Divers

Today we went SCUBA Diving at Molokini with Lahaina Divers. I had not been SCUBA diving for about a year so I was really excited for this dive. We left from Lahaina and made our way out to Molokini. Here we went on two different dives. Both of them were incredible but the second dive I must say earned a spot on my top ten career dives. The sheer amount of fish that we say was nothing short of incredible. We saw schools of Jack, Reef Shark and much more...

Doors Off Helicopter Ride, Alex Air Helicopters

Going on a helicopter is always an amazing experience. However, going on a Doors Off Helicopter Ride with Alex Air Helicopters really takes it to a whole new level. With the doors off you have winds upwards of 80 miles per hour rushing through the cabin. The thing that really was quite nice that I hadn't foreseen is that these winds carry with them the smells of everything you are passing over. I noticed this at first when we flew over a massive field of wild ginger and the whole cabin instantly smelled like wild Awapuhi Shampoo. If you are not afraid of heights and are looking for the more adventurous route then this is the way to go.

Going to Lanai with Paragon Sailing Charters is always a treat. This spacious 47' catamaran is one of the fastest sailboats around with maximum sailing speeds well over 20 knots. Today we were fortunate enough to run into a pod of over two hundred dolphins not only on the way over, but on the way back too!

Jet Ski Rentals, Pacific Jet Sport

Renting a Jet Ski from Pacific Jet Sport is something that I have been meaning to do for quite some time. Almost every time I drive out past Kaanapali I see the jet ski riders speeding around the Pacific Jet Sport platform splashing around and think to myself "I should do that next time". Well, I decided to give it a try and made a reservation and it turned out to be a blast.

UFO Parasail, Deluxe Ride

Today we went out with UFO Parasail on their deluxe trip that lets out 800 feet of line from the back of the boat. The views were incredible, we could see far into the valleys above and deep into the crystal clear blue water far enough to make out most of the reef formations near the shoreline. The ride can be done single or tandem, and you have the option of going for a "dip" as well as doing a "freefall" during the ride.
